Volunteers Needed NOW to Stop the Assault on Golf!

Volunteers Needed NOW to Stop the Assault on Golf!
SF Supervisor John Avalos has introduced legislation that would turn over control of Sharp Park to the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.  This would mean an end to nearly 80 years of golf at Sharp Park!  We must stop this legislation in its tracks!!  We must get the word out to all San Francisco-area golfers that our sport in San Francisco is under attack.  The SFPGA is looking for volunteers who can spare just a couple hours on the weekends to educate golfers and gather signatures to repel Sup. Avalos’ attack on Sharp Park.  If you are available, even for two hours, please send an email to our volunteer coordinator Andrew Brown at theSFPGA@gmail.com.

San Mateo County Supervisors support Sharp Park
We are proud to announce that our neighbors to the south have joined our fight!  The president and vice president of the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors, Carole Groom and Adrienne Tissier, have written an excellent op-ed in the San Francisco Examiner that expresses San Mateo County’s interest in helping to preserve Sharp Park Golf Course.  Read it all here: http://www.sfexaminer.com/opinion/op-eds/2011/10/sharp-park-benefit-all

Closing Sharp Park Golf Course and expanding wetlands at Laguna Salada may increase threat of West Nile virus
In this video, Dr. Suzanne Valente, a long-time Pacifica resident, expresses concern that destruction of the Sharp Park golf course may result in an increased threat of West Nile virus.  See the full video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wevfg5gSzN4

Valente is right. The West Nile virus has been found to exist very near in San Mateo. It seems that the Communists Avalos and , who is that egomaniac, anyway, maybe it is their plan. The more marshes created the mosquitos will come, bringing the West Nile virus. This is no joke. Frogs and Snakes were never in that area to begin with.

My ex-dentist is an expert on mozzarella. She has a video, too. This is no joke.

That's right Anon (1218), according to you, your dentist knows "mozzarella", so your "joke" is just say "cheese".

Whereas Suzanne Valente has a high level of researched understanding of West Nile viruses and the implications for San Mateo county, including Pacifica. Keeping down swampland and the mosquito population is a good idea for a city (this city).

frogs love skeeters

Are there enough frogs to eat all the skeeters? If there were enough frogs would we need the Spray?
Or is the spraying just another useless government program we were duped into?
Or are we creating a problem for ourselves by putting marshes in places that were once marshes that bred viral diseases?
Or are we creating viral diseases to kill the humans?
Or are the frogs supposed to be extinct and have outlived their purpose?
Or have humans outlived their purpose?
Or when I see a skeeter should I kill it?
Or when I see a frog should I eat it?
Or when a see a human creating a marsh on purpose should I kill it?

The Truth We Will Never Know. Just lots of propaganda by our One Party State.

"Whereas Suzanne Valente has a high level of researched understanding of West Nile viruses..." Then why does she have to read notes on the video that someone handed to her? Since she is so ill informed on the subject, I wonder if she wants to stand behind those facts professionally? Is she what, a dentist? Scary!

Anon (1040) try something other than attacking people without cause. I know that Suzanne has been doing research work for the county over many years, and she is also helping people who have been infected with of these vector diseases find medical networks and related information.

Get educated "http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dvbid/index.html"Vector Diseases.

Lime disease, for example, is usually a debilitating, ultimately life ending disease. Its not a good idea for a city to risk its population when alternatives are available. And, that's why the County spends money spraying West Sharp Park area.

In public speaking, why does anyone read information? One important reason is to be sure to include certain information, that otherwise might not be included on a "wing it". Some of us are also more sensitive to accountability for what we say, and may not be accustomed to speaking in public. And, seriously, Anon, what Suzanne read would have been written by her, not "handed to her".

attack/critique/doubt not at all inappropriate considering she's a former dentist now presenting herself as a mosquito expert

Anon (1235), amazing how a high level of science education and intelligence transfers to related research. You might not understand that, oh well.

Lyme disease is not fatal. Not even usually.

Don't know about "lime" disease though. Never heard of it. Maybe my dentist knows though.

Anon (327) you're correct I misspelled "Lyme", and Lyme disease treated early should not present debilitation and potentially death. However, the people I've known that have or had chronic Lyme disease, were not treated early, were severely disabled, and the complications will kill them. The the Lyme Disease organizations, medical providers and centers were of little value other than treating symptoms.

Apparently vaccines have been developed with mixed review, others are being developed with new vaccine trials. "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lyme_disease.

Getting medical information from Kathy Meeh is about as valuable as getting traffic engineering advice from a twirly-dancing artist.

I'm going with the twirly. You take Meeh and Doc Skeeter.
