From his Pacifica Riptide "Comment Survey", John Maybury "methinks it was Fox Noise disinformation campaign", weak. "What if fixpacifica was not referred to as fox noise and Riptide was not referred to as Ripfart? Mike Bell, strong.

I notice that Riptide now feels comfortable posting references to "local real estate parasites" on its front page. I guess hate speech is okay as long as it conforms with Riptide's preferred editorial opinions (which of course align with the "Keep Pacifica Poor" cabal).
Scotty,
if only Bob Pilgrim understood how politically ineffective the "real estate cabal" in Pacifica has been for the last 8-10 years. . . as a former member of the SAMCAR Legislative Committee in Pacifica, I can assure you that much of what Bob Pilgrim presents as fear tactics would never make the light of day in reality.
The irony is that the one force that most threatens Pacifica's HPDs and Coastal preservation is the adamant no-growth group which has put Pacifica on the brink of insolvency. I admire Jackie Speier for being realistic about the mismanagement of coastal communities in San Mateo County, and the economic toll their fear mongering has created.
A toll that puts these communities behind the economic 8-ball, ripe for disincorporation and either swallowed up by the county, or by San Bruno and Daly City as intended in 1957.
