How's that Pacifica Riptide "Comment Survey" going?
http://www.pacificariptide.com/pacifica_riptide/2010/01/riptide-comment-survey-let-us-hear-from-you.html#comments
When John Maybury ask his qualified comment posters whether fake "pen names" should be allowed (other than those who already post), it seems this "think for yourself" consideration became increasing confounding, leading to zero conclusion, stated as "orthogonal" by Ken Restivo. Meantime, Ian Butler gave a perfectly logical answer 6 days ago: "It appears that most of the nasty stuff has moved over to an unmoderated blog. I think it's safe to go back to allowing pseudonyms again." How good is that?
Those of us who post frequently on Fix Pacifica wish those Riptide comment posters well, and hope they figure-it-out before their heads explode.

Hi boys and girls can I come over here and play on your Fix Pacifica Blog??
Anything happen while I was away?
Are we having fun yet?
Are we starting to see the problem yet?
Summer Rhodes started it.
Kathy Meeh didn't make the above comment, but you will be happy to learn from her "State of the City" address today, Mayor Sue Digre now "supports mixed-use development in the quarry". So, Don, she is waiting for your phone call to move head with quarry development, same project except with a few less houses, "housing was close".
Kathy, did someone else post under your name? If so, I'll delete the comment.
Thanks for catching this Steve, but I made reference to the false comment, so might as well leave it along with the comment Don Peebles 100% didn't make, and Scotty 99% didn't make. Some joker playing, but the article is also playful.
Restivo is a hired gun for Ross Murky . . . I think his views are not very Euclidean . . .
I thought Maybury insisted that Summer Rhodes was a real person's name. So much for his credibility.
And everybody on city council seeking re-election supports mixed use development in the Quarry. The fact that they do everything in their power to stop mixed use development in the Quarry shouldn't deter anyone from trusting them, should it?
Jeff,
That was Kathy Jana, not Summer. Summer's a pen name.
There isn't going to be anything in the quarry, the crash is hardly gotten rolling.
Anybody can post on this blog using anybody's name. For example, this post ...
Who posted as Summer Rhodes? You'll never know.
Will the real Summer Rhodes please stand up.
Who is who on this blog?
Lionel's right. There ain't no money honey. They shot our wad. That's why I think lionel would be good to run at this point in our Pacifica time. He would get in there and crack the whip, do away with waste and fraud. We need someone like him with his extreme talent for finding the lost buck.
Find new ways of creating revenue to help us through the rough road ahead without raising taxes. He's got skill, talent, does not work for the government (right?) and most of all - he's from here.
