WE NEED YOU TO ATTEND

SF REC AND PARK BOARD OF COMMISIONERS MEETING THIS THURSDAY... 11/19... 2PM... SF City Hall ...Room 416...Very Important ! ! !

HELLO FOLKS,

WELL AS PROMISED, I AM ADVISING YOU ABOUT A VERY IMPORTANT MEETING TO ATTEND... AND THAT IS THE THE SAN FRANCISCO REC AND PARK COMMISIONERS BOARD THIS THURSDAY 11/18th at 2pm Room 416, SF City Hall..............

Here's the story...the good news that we experienced last Friday with the recommendations by Rec and Park General Manager Phil Ginsberg stating that both golfers and endangered species could not only maintatin, but "flourish" with each other will be reviewed by the SF Park and Rec Commissionersbefore they vote on it and, undoubtedly, will be challenged by Brent Plater and followers next Thursday at SF City Hall in a public meeting of the SF Rec and Park Commissioners. The meeting time is said to have been changed from 4pm to 2pm and the subject of the SF Rec and Park Depts recommendation on the disposition of the Sharp Park Golf course is set to be voted upon by the Commissioners that very same afternoon. Their vote results will be reported to the SF Board of Supervisors, who, in turn, will be holding their own important meetings on the subject in the very near future...

I have personally been told by SF Supervisor Sean Elsbernd that it is of PARAMOUNT IMPORTANCE THAT WE GET THE IN PERSON ATTENDANCE AT THIS MEETING...emails, petitions and letters are very good, but attendance in person is best, and at this point is urgently needed...especially for those that are willing to step up to the podium and speak  to the issue at the same time...

PLEASE READ BELOW EMAIL FROM DAVE DILLER OF THE SHARP PARK GOLF CLUB TO MAYOR LANCELLE, CITY MANAGER STEVE RHODES AND MYSELF...

See you at SF City Hall on Thursday!. Please, in order to get a seat, get there at least one hour, if not more, before the meeting....bring  a good book, pack a snack, bring a bottle of water, get the lay of the land etc...but be there! Thanks! Remember that what the General Manager of the SF REc and Park recommends is not "the recommendation that counts" per se. It does not go forward to the SF Board of Supervisors. It is the Rec and Park Commisoner's vote that goes forward to the SF Board of Supervisors. It is their vote that "counts"!

(Remember, what happened last Friday is only a "milestone" in a long battle...We have many more miles to go before the war is won....We are entering a very critical time period, in which anytime that Sharp Park is on the agenda at a meeting in SF(SF BOS, Park and Rec Commissioners) or in Pacifica(Planning Commission, City Council) or in Redwood City(SMC Bd of Supervisors), we need to be there...)

Please contact me with any questions.........Thanks!

Thanks for the heads up. I'll be there. This will get more interesting when it gets to the Supes. Linked this post from my blog. This is all I'll be blogging about this week. So much material. So little time.
