Some public servants thumb their noses at the rules

Interesting article out of the SMCDT (yep, same trash rag that clearly did not understand Pacifica's issues last election):

Mayor Dellums, the IRS, and Peralta Community College District

Rules, we don't need no steeenkin' rules!  Better to fire a Building Inspector with 19 years of dedicated service than admit you didn't bother to get permits for a home remodel.  Better to fire a Finance Director under the auspices of "downsizing" than admit she was fired for giving the public financial information to which it was entitled.  Better to bypass the EIR process for a biodiesel refinery than admit the company with whom you partnered to build the facility didn't have a clue about Cal/OSHA requirements for digging a trench.

Better to increase sewer fees by over 200% to pay for holes in the General Fund due to your "no growth" agenda than invest that money in the piping infrastructure where it belonged.  Better to cost the city over $300,000 pursuing a City Hall by the Sea than listen to the Urban Land Institute, California Center for Land Recycling, your own redevelopment experts, your own appraisers, and every developer interested in the property who all said "mixed use" was the highest and best use of the Old Waste Water Treatment Plant.

Rules are for the unelected.  Unless you're a de facto unelected planning commissioner . . .

Our Governments are broke because they do NOTHING. Americans are rich. Watch out, they are coming after your hard earned money. Today, we have less rich people than we did two years ago. Speaker Pelosi knows this, being she lives here, she knows the rich can't take anymore losses, so she is proposing all governments to rob the people of all their hard earned money. You don't have to take this. Fight Back. The DO NOTHING Pacifica City Coucil should be ashamed of themselves.
