I get sick and tired of people saying that John Curtis just takes and never gives anything back to the community. Well I'll have you know that as Pacifica's Mosquito Abatement Trustee he has brought us West Nile virus, malaria, dengue, yellow fever, Lyme disease, babesiosis, ehrlichiosis and other miscellaneous mosquito and tick borne diseases. He has done this through his deafening silence as our trustee (e.g., never once warned the public that San Pedro County Park has the highest concentration of disease carrying ticks of any park in the county). He has done this through litigation and threats of litigation if habitats and mosquito/tick breeding grounds aren't expanded and/or built on every city project and private development enterprise. And he has done it through sheer negligence.
Yes John's contributions should definitely be rewarded by both the City Council and the Pacifica Tribune. What's that you say? They already have. Well then the least we could do is pay for his housing and happy meals. We already are? Clothing? Car? Allowance? Those too??? Darn, I'm clean out of ideas. Tell ya what. Next time you see the big galoot, just give him a big hug.

Don't forget Mr. Curtis' quadruple-bypass that we'll all be paying for.
That doesn't even look like John! He would never wear red shoes.
