Oh, Councilmembers Keener and Digre again |
I am including the email that I sent out to the four councilmembers and the Mayor. Three responded to me. I did not hear from Mr. Keener or Ms. Digre. I had to call them out individually at the city council meeting about their unresponsiveness. I am still waiting to hear from Ms. Digre with an email and a call back from Ms. Tinfow the city manager.
At the meeting, we heard about the generous relocation package that the residents of Pacific Skies Estates would receive $10,000 and in some cases $15,000. Why then are these two councilmembers trying to social engineer the whole city for the few people in the mobile home park?
We, the people, deserve better than this. It appears that Mr. Keener and Ms. Digre are using the mobile home park to further their own agenda."

Rent stabilization is issue all over Bay Area.Councilmembers Keener and Digre are not alone in requesting agendizing issues. The greedy apartment owners stick it to renters because they can.Do they think people will not defend themselves?
If there was a greater supply of housing, rents wouldn't be so high. By blocking new housing, Digre and Keener contribute to the problem.
SF has been adding housing and rents in the city are still going up, up up!
SF's new housing still doesn't come close to meeting population growth. Since 2010, its population has gone up by 45,000, while housing units have only gone up by 7,500.

Gee, ya think we're getting some of that SF overflow?

SF has everything you could ever want a short walk or cab ride away.
Pacifica has....nothing.
Why do these trailer people want to stay in moldy, drafty old homes? The prior parkowner never made any improvements. He just took the money to southern cal. These renters should just take the money and run. I can just imagine what the parks gas lines are like after years of neglect...who would chose to live in this way. They are demanding an emergency ordinance when they probably should be grateful to be getting out of dodge in one piece. Has the city council member who is renting in the park ever come forward? It would be interesting to hear why they want to stay and do they support an emergency ordinance just for the park or city wide.
I am disappointed in Keener and Digre. This will be their demise.
O'Neal's demise was caving and changing his mind and vote for 7-11!!
FYI the hippies over on Riptide are not too happy with Mary Ann & Karen also.
855 That bit about the gas line was a nice touch. Nothing like using a bit of local tragedy to jazz up your morning propaganda broadcast. You again at 920? Digre and Keener have never looked stronger. Hopeless cause or not, they're working for the people. People who don't want to take the money and run from what for them has been affordable housing. Who you working for?
maybe some council member should agendize raising minimum wage in Pacifica to help workers pay for raised rents.
Keener get right on that.
That's an order from your NOBY masters.
