Nice link Steve.

Why is Pacifica average PD & Fire pay higher than more than half of San Mateo County? We are easily in the top two poorest cities.

We pay more than Atherton, Foster City, EPA, Brisbane, SSF, HMB, Foster City, Daly City and Hillsborough.

WTF?

Your city council at work, spending the reserves on payroll.

The real crimes in Pacifica are these bloated salaries. Thank you to previous idiot councils for starting the goldrush. Current City Council, you can jump in anytime to stop it. Go ahead. Now would be good.

@931 Well, they're either going to spend it on payroll or they'll find ways to give it away. It's a group with a limited repetoire.

Is this some of that unsupported innuendo that anon keeps talking about?

Anonymous said...

Yup, more unsupported innuendo. Probably some vague accusations somewhere in there, too. He's gonna be pissed. You wait.

The nerve of that Sacramento Bee publishing these lies. Lies and innuendos and false accusations. This is what happens with a free press. Questions get asked. Claims get challenged. Beginning of the end.
Hey, were these numbers before or after Council got all their "huge cuts" made?

Anonymous said...

I don't know if this is before or after cuts but most of our cops are making way more than what that average says.

I anyone is going to get an initiative on the ballot to cut pension contributions we better do it fast.

Ummm....I don't think their pay is too high at all. I approve of their pay. So there.

Wait until July 1st when Ritzma is the new city manager.

Remember you heard it here first.

Anonymous said...

Then you'll be most surprised by the city filing Chapter 9 in bankruptcy court.

Anonymous said...

Maybe Anon 746 would be willing to donate their house to the city. That will pay 3 officers for a year if you don't count pensions.

Anonymous said...

Ritzma's pay is tied to the top 3 paid at city hall. They get a raise she gets a raise.

She will be the next city manager bet on it.

@959 hahaha, that's the problem! No one is counting.

Anonymous said...

@756 Oh, that's not going to happen, but are you aware that Pacifica has implemented a 2-tier pension plan in some bargaining units? I'm not sure which ones. Unfortunately it's just the usual too little, too late. It might have been a good start in
2008, but now we need the change made by San Diego to fix the problem once and for all. They moved all active city employees (except the cops) from a traditional defined-benefit pension to a 401K. Puts everyone in the same market-sensitive boat.

Once again, I think their pay is just fine. I think their benefit/pension needs to be re-negotiated. Too fat. Too much.

Were paying our police and fire more than hillsborough, Atherton, Daly City and SSF and we're on the verge of bankruptcy. How can you say their pay is fine Anon 449? While the median household income in Pacifica is $88,000 the average PD is making over $130,000, some $175K and more. Pacifica is not here to make employees wealthy or provide high paying jobs. The city is here to serve the citizens. Right now they are cutting our services because we can't afford them. But we CAN afford paying employees $3000 a week? $3000 a week!

Listen you a-hole democrats. YOU ALL VOTED FOR THIS SHIT. SO STFU and pay it. Pay for high priced Grubment workers. Pay it and shut up. I am so sick of all of you. You are idiots of the worse kind. You have no idea what is going on. You scream about how horrible Pacifica is and you haven't a fricken clue. FixPacifica can never fix pacifica cause the whole nation is in a very bad situation and all you complain about is taking away someone's pay? I think we have bigger worries right now. Get your head out of your ass.

It's Pacifica. What do you really expect? We're just going to do the slow death spiral over the next couple of years. Council leading the way in grabbing all you can while their shills pitch new taxes to us. Chances are they'll con enough people into voting for new taxes or scare them into it. And they'll waste that money, too, but the gravy train will keep on running. Thanks suckahs!
