PH1A - a flu virus or what?

 http://ph1a-pacifica.weebly.com/about.html

In 2006, this was pretty much the same group that claimed that there was too much traffic to let the quarry be developed.

Now it seems we don't have enough traffic to justify the repair and safety additions. This also reads like a list of those most responsible for the financial morass we find ourselves in after 30 years of development obstructionism.

They should be honest and call themselves "Pacificans Against Everything".

Everyone on that list=Everything wrong with Pacifica.

Every reason why the town is Bankrupt!

Now here is a list that inspires one to, ahhhhhhhhhhhhh, to, wait a minute, ahh, got it, say no, offer a ridiculous alternative, delay forever, lose funding, then go home and call it another day in poorass Pacifica. They realize that if the hwy is repaired and made safe, the the traffic might actually get better and they may lose some talking point for another "no" campaign in the future.

Say hello to the idiots who destroyed Pacifica.

Kiss that highway widening goodbye for the next 25 years. The opposition knows how to derail a project. And how to make all the friends and alliances they'll need on council.

Get over it. Freeways, hiways, bridges, roads, dams, sewer plants, solar farms, wind turbins, water treatment; all things that come with human habitation in the twentieth century.
These numb nuts will fight anything and everything that doesn't fit their selfish visions.
This is nothing more than a play to prevent development in the quarry by any means possible.
These guys are no different than Plater and the Plover the Hill Gang.

It would seem that a logical and possibly cheap first step would be to work with Caltrans on the timing of the traffic lights at Vallemar. If that improves the flow of traffic to a reasonable degree, then widening Hwy 1 can proceed or not proceed at a more reasonable pace. If adjusting the traffic lights doesn't work, then that argument can be laid to rest, once and hopefully, for all.

Well, if the quarry ever gets developed, then the developer will have to pay to fix the traffic. They lose either way... my money is on the county pushing this through. I think they have played this environmental card once too often. If they truly had a new and improved plan, they should show it. Just like they did for the quarry, oh.... still waiting.

Bray, is the offical spokesman for this motley crue

1028, not really true. Bohner is the lead PHIA. Maykel and Shoemaker have been vocal at city council.

It isn't going to happen. This bunch and their like-minded friends can create enough long, drawn out opposition to derail the whole thing.

Caltrans has other projects that are less trouble and less bad PR. Don't bet on the county and certainly not on council. Other than Stone they're all jelly under pressure.

Time doesn't just stand still in Pathetica. It goes backwards.

Like I have said the hippies and nobees claiming traffic are grasping at straws.

Go over to San Bruno during the morning and afternoon commute and watch how traffic flows between 380 and Sneath Lake. 1000 housing units have been added to the area and traffic flows better.

Randy, you missed Nancy Hall or did you just include her as a subset to Andrew Leone. Oh I guess Nick Leone should also be a subset.

Maykel is part of the team that will bring us the plover corral and restrictions on LMBeach.
