City Council meeting, Monday, February 11, 2013

A.    Closed session, (5:30 pm)
1 .   Government code 54957.6.  "Conference with labor negotiator. Agency negotiator: Ann Ritzma. Employee organizations: Pacifica Fire Fighters Local 2400; Teamsters Local 856 Battalion Chiefs; Department Directors Local 350.
2.   Government code 54956.9 (b).  "Conference with legal counsel - anticpated litigation. Significant exposure to litigation. One potential case."

B.  Open session, (7:00 pm)  -  Closed session report

Consent Calendar
1.    Approval of cash disbursements. 1/18/13 to 1/28/13, fiscal year 2012/13.  
2.    Minutes of  the 1/28/13 meeting.
3.    Ongoing proclamation of the 4/12/10 revetment storm drainage emergency at 380 and 400 Esplanade Avenue. 
4.     Authorize staff to sign a contract with Hoffman Southwest Corporation, dba Pro Pipe, to inspect through  closed circuit television (CCTV) the remaining 8% of sewer pipe in house equipment is unable to  CCTV (balance of a required 5 year program). Fiscal impact, $32,480.
5.     Resolution to apply fo$1,141,000 Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) funding to complete route 1, San Pedro Creek Bridge replacement. 
6.     Resolution to apply for Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) funding to complete Linda Mar Boulevard Pavement Rehabilitation Project, fiscal year 2014/15. City matching funds 11.47%, or  $55,840. Earliest available funding is Spring, 2014.

Item 9, good news sewer getting fixed, bad news we pay for it
7.      Authorization for Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E) to remove a palm tree at the corner of Ramona and Reina Del Mar Avenues. (Follow-up from 1/28/13 meeting, originated by Public Works).
8.      Mid-year budget report and amendments, fiscal year 2012/13.
9.      20 year financial plan for Wastewater/Sewer, requirements of the Sanitary Sewer order (SSO), Funds 18 and 34.  For more detail, see City Agenda Staff Report Printout.
10.     Adoption of 2013 City Council goals and direction to staff (continuation of 2012 goals).  
11.     Resolution creating a Fireworks Task Force and appointing Task Force members (from PB&R, Fireworks Vendors, Pacifica Beach Coalition).
12.     Appointments the Beautification Advisory committee (5 citizens).
13.     Consider direction to the Mayor voting member on the City Selection Committee or Mayor's proxy regarding 2/22/13 appointments.

we got another huge salary cop appointed. A capt left for-- drum roll--san mateo sheriff. Tasa promoted an existing Pac sgt to captain. Not even acting--permanent. Salary and benefits north of $200K, as we debate and assuredly out source to sheriff. Continue to spend money like water...

By the time we are forced to outsource because we can't meet payroll, the options and service will be determined by the county. Beggars can't be choosers. Guess that whole thing snuck up on council. Good job people!

@208 well the smartest one was the guy who left for the sheriff's department. start there.
