Parent Alert from Pacifica School District
October 19, 2012
Dear Parents/Guardians,
During the morning drop-off at Vallemar School, a Black Toyota Forerunner vehicle, driven by a
white male, stocky build, balding, possibly mid to late 40’s was seen driving slowly past the
school and side-streets several times. This suspicious activity was reported to the Pacifica
Police Department.
Please be on alert and call the Pacifica Police Department (650-738-7314) should you see this
vehicle cruising around our schools or anywhere that children are present.
The schools will be speaking to all students regarding safety and walking with at least one other
friend. Additionally, the Pacifica Police will be monitoring our schools closely.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact your child’s principal.
Sincerely,
Wendy S. Tukloff, Ed.D.
Superintendent

Why not cameras around schools
to discourage this stuff and help the cops? There are probably federal grants available for such.
Good idea. Cameras around all the schools to keep an eye on these bad guys.
cameras in schools, bathrooms, locker rooms, lockers, classes, on desks . . . big brother approves!
Kids first anon413. Put the cameras anywhere they might prevent what happened to that poor little girl in Colorado. Around schools where those sick pervs stalk, playgrounds. We can sort out your civil liberties later.
Terra Nova High has cameras.
Probably a good idea for many reasons, but it's the little kids that are most vulnerable to pervs. Cameras in front of their schools could make a difference and surely would discourage criminals from trolling there.
When you think about this 3 schools are within a block of Highway 1.
Very easy to grab a kid and get on Highway 1 in either direction.
I hope it never happens but I am all for cameras around schools.
