A suspect has been arrested in the slaying of a 24-year-old man whose body was found early Wednesday in the front yard of a home in Pacifica, police said.
The suspect, a 24-year-old Pacifica man whose name wasn't released, was being held at San Mateo County Jail in the killing of Keith Coffey.
The former Skyline College student also lived in Pacifica and worked at a pizza parlor, according to his Facebook page.
Officers responded to a home on Dell Road at about 5:15 a.m. after a report of a disturbance there. They found the victim lying in the front yard, and medical crews declared him dead at the scene.

Heard it on the scanner a little after 5 then heard all the sirens.
Its all part of the wasted youth and decay of the city.
Hang on it will get much worse before it gets better.A
Very sad. We watched both the suspect and victim grow up and they are from good families. I don't understand. RIP Keith Coffey , for you will be dearly missed.

PACIFICA -- A 24-year-old man accused of killing an acquaintance with a knife and hammer was charged with murder Friday in San Mateo County Superior Court.
"Marc Anthony Furlan stabbed and struck Keith Coffey, 24, more than 50 times before dumping his body in the front yard of Furlan's home on Dell Road in Pacifica, said District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe, who called the crime "a very vicious attack."
