Karen Ervin, city council candidate |
"Karen Ervin kicked off her run for a City Council seat in the Pedro Point home of Janine Galligani and Mike Ray last week. If elected, she would set a number of priorities.
The
first one would be to address the city's economic issues -- to build
reserves, spend wisely and to eliminate the structural deficit. The
second priority would be to develop economic sustainability. One was to
assist would be to streamline the permitting for businesses. Third, she would work with commercial landlords to fill vacancies. Next, she would continue to support the plans to redevelop Palmetto Avenue and Beach Blvd. And, lastly, she would build transparency and be engaged in the community.with commercial landlords to fill vacancies." OK, all worthy goals, how specifically does Ms. Ervin plan to get these things done?
I think all candidates should be asked the specifics of their goals, how will it get done?
She's going to follow the Len Stone plan.
What is the "Len Stone plan?"
How do you plan to get these plans done with no money. The city is bankrupt and any of the quarry, old waste water treatment plant, and turning Palmetto into the new downtown are 5-10 years away.
Big dreams no money
Len Stone plan is lock your self in your office and refuse to come out.
Oh how I love election season aka creative writing and yarn spinning. I ask you to vote for me because my vision for Pacifica is bigger and brighter than his/hers and I speak in warm, inclusive tones. I'm hugging you right now. Have I a clue about how to make these marvelous ideas happen? Of course not. Do I need to have a clue to get elected? Since when?
Uh oh, Len, not another closed door session. What are you up to now?
@834 How are we going to pay for all this cool stuff? That's a great question. Taxes, my friend. We're all going to join together and raise us some taxes. Together, see? Thanks for your support and your hard earned cash and all this togetherness.
Oh how I long for the good old days. When the democrats were the only "tax and spenders"
Now they all want to tax and spend equally!!
So it seems, but some of them are better at concealing their plans until they're in office and then
SHAZAMM gee golly it's not our fault what else can we do waa waa waa.
I am voting for Vellone and O'Neill. Where do I get yard signs?? Anyone know?
Stop by Susan's place of business,Visions Seaside Spa 1009 Terra Nova Blvd. Signs are in the reception area. Just take a few.
Thanks, anon. I'm going to do that.
I think Karen Ervin is weak. I believe she could be easily manipulated.
@719 that's the plan amigo
One of your signs is on the side of Manor Drive, on public park land. Please make it clear to supporters that yard signs are supposed to go on their property, not in our public parks.
I've seen a number of Spanos signs on public property too.
