Pacifica coastal cleanup day, Saturday September 15, 2012

Pacifica Tribune/Lynn Adams, 9/11/12. "Coastal cleanup day - bring your own, make a difference."

They went thataway
"On Sept 15, from 9 to 11:30 a.m., many of you may choose to step outside and save a fish, bird, or marine mammal by joining the CA Coastal Cleanup Day effort. The Pacifica Beach Coalition thanks you and welcomes you to a growing number of people who are taking action to help the environment and hopefully learn more about what each of us can do on a daily basis.

As the impending storm season approaches it is even more important for us to clean our street, creek, park, beach and city locations. We are "the coast" and the first rain and every following rain will clean our streets and send all litter and pollutants into the ocean where it will kill or harm the ocean ecosystem.

Volunteers will find dozens of organized sites in Pacifica for Coastal Cleanup Day with site captains, cleanup supplies and guidance where they can lend a hand. Volunteers can reduce waste by bringing their own buckets and gloves to the cleanup."  Read article.

The Beach group said nothing when the Waste Water treatment plant spilled 7.5 million gallons of poop water across the beach and into the water at Rockaway.

We all know the council silenced them, therefore I can not support them!
