"A federal appeals court has blocked the implementation of a San Francisco law requiring cellphone dealers to warn customers that cellphone use might expose them to cancer-causing radiation.
The City and County of San Francisco’s cellphone ordinance was to take effect in October 2011, but enforcement has been delayed pending industry legal challenges. The ruling in CTIA-The Wireless Association v. City and County of San Francisco, Calif., on Monday by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco blocked enforcement of the ordinance while those challenges continue.

In its brief, unpublished opinion, the court reversed a trial court judge who said the city could compel cellphone companies to distribute a “fact sheet” because its Board of Supervisors concluded “there is debate in the scientific community about the health effects of cellphones.”
The cellphone industry’s lobbying group filed a lawsuit in 2010 seeking to invalidate the city’s ordinance. The industry claims that the city’s requirements go beyond disclosures that are “purely factual and uncontroversial” and stray into disputed views of cellphones. Same 'ol "dumber than dirt" serial comment from you Anonymous, 10:01 AM: "its not about Pacifica." However, brain damage does not stop at Pacifica boarders, inside or outside. And personally I'm not sympathetic to your whining. Submit your own "Pacifica" articles.
Questions: How many people in Pacifica have cell phones? Yes most of us. And do you remember a few years back when people protested instillation of cell phone towers in their neighborhoods, near their houses? I do, reason: radiation concerns.
And are cell phones harmful to human brain and body cell health? The article seems to indicate there is a black-out on cell phone research, and the industry has lobbied against such studies. Surprise, surprise. Meantime, cell phones have been with us for more than 20 years (more commonly 10 years). Hence, most of the nation's population are brain and body cell radiation guinea pigs. That includes you Anonymous, and that includes most of us Pacificans.
Here's an advisement from Dr. Oz, "How to avoid cell phone dangers." So read it, you might save a brain or body cell. Meantime I'll add the link to the article.
