"And none of these jobs are in Pacfifica!"
..........but they could be.
Silicon Valley below us, San Francisco above us, SFO to our east and the beautiful Pacific ocean on our doorstep. Why we don't capitalize on this is beyond comprehension. Wake up Pacifica.

Nobody is knocking on that development door and the obvious first step of hiring an economic development pro seems to have escaped our crackerjack council because, oh yes, we can do this ourselves. See how shrewd we are about developing the OWWTP. We just need to find some schmuck to build us that new library right in the middle of the thing. We drive a hard bargain, yes sirree.

We can spend countless thousands on trails that bring in no money, Linda Mar Beach that costs the taxpayers money, Sanchez Art Center in which the taxpayers give the "artists" below market rent and pay for utilities.

But when it comes time to bring in an economic development pro city hall says, we don't have the money.

The fish rots from the head down.

I think you are beautiful for thinking Pacifica is beautiful. Let's go hug a tree.

And there they go, stinking like rotten fish, looking for a tree to hug, followed by hundreds of feral cats and a commission...aaah Pacifica, such a special kind of crazy.
