Wild Equity & Brent Platers new friends.
http://wildequity.org/entries/3069
Read the post and have a good laugh. So many lies!!!! This guy will stop at nothing to shut down the recreational choice of 55,000 people annually!!!!
Do you remember the Thompson Twins song from the '80's? LIES LIES LIES, Yeeeeeeah!!!!
He has changed his tune so many times I'm not sure which song he is singing anymore.

My post on WEI.org. I'm sure it won't get posted my account is deactivated again but this is what I posted to Brent.
Are you serious? These guys are the best you can up with Brent?
You truly will say and do anything to try to get your way. Please start telling the truth about golf and Sharp Park. What about all he youth golf teams that call Sharp Park home? Most of these teams are from SF high schools. Do you really believe that if Sharp Park is closed SF will in turn spend that money on youth and neighborhood services? If you believe that I have a bridge for sale. It is big and International Orange with 2 towers Brent.
Remember that parks and Muni golf courses are created by cities for their citizens recreation. They should not make money. This is why people pay taxes. Does GG Park and any other park in SF turn a profit? Nor should they!!! And yes, Sharp Park is in San Mateo County but it is mostly San Franciscans playing there. This cannot be denied even by you Brent. You know it and I know it!!! Start telling and speaking the truth. It is truly getting old.
I don't expect this post to ever make the light of day on your biased and unchallenged site but it will be posted and people will see it.
Thank you so much for posting this Butch, I was really appalled to hear about this last Monday. It's really difficult to comprehend the degree of deception being stooped to by the "reptile people".
Sharon, the "reptile people" know when to drag-out "the children", give the property to GGNRA for the sake of the children! Oh wait, that was the Restore Sharp Park to Rubble plan all along. New ploy, think SF leadership will figure this one out again.
Nice picture Butch!
Kathy, that picture was taken and is posted on the WEI website. I did not take it nor is it photoshopped by me.
Butch,
You're really being unfair to Brent Plater. I think he and Ian Butler could be a great revenue source for Pacifica with their comedy act. First Brent trashes Jackie Speier for "hosting behind-the-scenes meetings with golf privatization groups—and without any environmental groups—to find a taxpayer bailout for the golf course"
First nonsense argument
Then Brent praises Jackie Speier for introducing "a bill to spend a billion federal dollars and create a new federal office dedicated to San Francisco Bay wetland restoration."
Second nonsense argument
This is very high on the hypocritical comedy scale . . . or couldn't we just get someone to publicly read all of Brent's wild and contradictory statements? I'd pay $5 to see a production of, "What's Good for Brent is Good for Everyone."

Butch, it gets worse. Close to 40% of the SF Bay Area households own at least one dog. Plater has been trying for years to shut down all of the off leash dog parks using hyperbole, junk science and lies. If it's not frogs and snakes it's native plants, snowy plovers, orcas, grebes, paramecium ad nauseum. So add to your 55,000 the tens of thousands of dog owners who Plater is likewise attempting to deny recreational opportunities to.
What's truly incredible is how much damage one obsessive compulsive person with a law degree can do...
Nice to see PGA tour pros Sergio Garcia, Nancy Lopez and Tiger Woods (pictured above) come out and support the destruction of Sharp Park Golf Course. Good causes really do bring out the philanthropic celebs!
Yo yo yo!!
Anyone else get the feeling Plater paid these "concerned citizens" $5 to hold the sign up?
It *is* difficult to believe the sincerity behind these individuals given the evident posturing for the camera.
Nothing says "I'm a man of my convictions" like an oversized, sideways baseball cap perched atop one's head. I'm going to go into the ninth circuit court of appeals with a hat like that. I'm sure I'll be taken seriously.
*cue laugh-track*
Steve, glad you brought-up the money issue. That seems to be the usual MO. Pay whoever is put-out-there a few bucks to do the job for the publicity spin. Wonder if these "deprived hood teenage" picketers one with a beard) were at city hall more than 1 day for a few hours, if that. Got to admit, at propaganda some of these alleged eco-groups are very good.
Since the DEIR at Sharp Park Golf Course is moving forward, wonder how this kind of after-the-vote publicity will or will not influence SF Supervisor/Mayor outcome?
Butch + Anonymous 5/26, 9:28PM, I should have said nice find and post. Glad you're keeping tabs on the Wild Equity website.
I believe Plater's usual MO is to give his SF State students extra credit if they show up at SF city hall to say they want the golf course shut down. And I remember what looked like a news article on one of his websites that praised Plater to no end, except that the "reporter" turned out to be another one of his students. An A+ for her.
But in this case, I have a feeling the peeps in the picture ain't his students.
A few weeks ago, there was an article in the SF Chronicle detailing how 1/3 of SF city government employees made over 100K/year. Maybe the city ought to be looking there first as a way to save money.
The garbage that eminates from Butch Laroches' mouth....
You can thank these guys for all the broken window glass outside of Moose Lodge, gateway to the snake garden.
Ok now I know who Zombie Rockaway Sue is!
The article says, "more and more residents are demanding that San Francisco close the money-losing, endangered species-killing Sharp Park Golf Course."
Yet their Facebook cause has only 308 people, 25 of whom have joined since the end of January 2009.

Plater knows how to play the PR game very, very well. Further he is able to get away with making all kinds of false statements because he knows no one is going to take him to court about it. He has no conscious about attempting to destroy, by whatever means possible, this beautiful course home to players from all ethnic backgrouds and ages. Someday Brent will be a senior and then, with a lot of hope, maybe he will have a clue about what this course means to so many seniors.
