Pacifica Tribune/Letters to the Editor. Thanks to Elaine by Andrea Drake
"Editor: I
would like to express my appreciation for the excellent, professional
work done by Elaine Larsen at the Pacifica Tribune over the years.
Once,
several years ago, when my father, Bill Drake, was retired but still
writing now and then for the Tribune, I read a story that was so well
written that I knew my father had to be the author. I casually checked
the byline, expecting to see "Bill Drake," and instead saw "Elaine
Larsen."
This is the ultimate compliment I can pay any journalist -- to
mistake her writing for that of Bill Drake. Hats off to Elaine. She is a
fine journalist and Pacifica, the Tribune, and the Drake family all owe
her a sincere thank you."
Note: The above Letter was one paragraph, broken into three for easier reading. The photograph is from eHow.com/C.K. Wren, contributor, "How to write a thank you friendship letter."
