A mountail lion may be nearby your neighborhood too

Hello, yikes...

San Jose Mercury News/Bay City News Service, 9/20/14, "Millbrae:  Mountain lion spotted near I-280."

"MILLBRAE -- A mountain lion was spotted in Millbrae on Saturday afternoon, according to San Mateo County emergency officials.  Deputies responded to a report of a mountain lion at the end of Larkspur Drive by Interstate 280, the officials said.

Anyone who sees a mountain lion, particularly ones feeding or with their offspring, is advised to not approach it, emergency officials said. Those who encounter a mountain lion should not run but rather face the animal, make noise, throw rocks and wave their arms in the air to appear larger than the animal.

More information on mountain lions is available online at http://www.keepmewild.org."
