Half Moon Bay Review/Julia Reis, 9/18/14. " Planning Commission approves 12 apartments. Maverick Apartments planned for El Granada."
12 unit apartment building will be built here, Avenue Portola and Coronado Street |
.... "San Mateo County Senior Planner Mike Schaller said the project changed little from when it was reviewed by the Coastside Design Review Committee to its approval by the Planning Commission on Sept. 10. The owner may change some facets of the proposed landscape at the request of the Design Review Committee. That’s because currently the application includes non-native plants. If there are no appeals of the project to the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors by Sept. 24, the landowner can submit for a building permit when ready. Schaller said the property owner had given no indication of when construction would begin.
There are very few dedicated apartments on the
Midcoast and a constant clamor for affordable housing. It was not
immediately clear how much rent would be charged at the Mavericks
Apartments."
