Coastside beginning new long-term transit/traffic plan

We have traffic

Half Moon Bay Review, Julia Reis, 9/4/14.  "County aims to connect the coast." New transit plan seeks improvements from Devil's Slide to Skyline."

"San Mateo County has begun work on a new Coastside transit plan that will make recommendations for future programs based on current and prospective infrastructure.

....  “It’s a long-term plan for build-out,” said MCC Chair Lisa Ketcham. “How are you going to deal with population growth and increased traffic? What money do we have to improve transit routes, and at what point will we decide we need to limit development? It’s a broad picture of how the heck we’re going to deal with this, moving forward.”

....  The project will work in conjunction with previous and ongoing studies, such as Plan Princeton and the Highway 1 improvement project. A website has been established where local residents can comment on specific segments of the corridors where they think improvements are needed. After the report is finalized, it will be sent to the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors and the Coastal Commission for approval."   Read more.
