Coastal cleanup Day, 2014

The following text is from Pacifica Beach Coalition (a project of Pacifica's Environmental Family).  Over the past 10 years, Lynn Adams and the Beach Coalition volunteers have done an amazing, commendable, and effective job keeping our beaches, creeks, and land brush areas litter free.  They are also reminding us not to litter, and to pick-up trash where we see it.

Oh you haven't seen this sign yet?
"2014 COASTAL CLEAN UP DAY: LET'S MAKE TRASH EXTINCT

Someone said we get extra credit for this
Help keep debris off our beaches, out of our ocean and waterways!  It’s that time of year when the state’s largest volunteer event gives all Californians the chance to learn about and actively participate in conserving coastal resources during Coastal Clean Up Day 2014.

WHEN: Saturday September 20th, TAKE ACTION:  9:00 am - 11:00 am.  WHERE:  @ clean up sites throughout Pacifica.

Join the PBC to pick up and clear away debris collecting along our beaches, parks, shoreline, creeks, parking lots and neighborhood streets from Mussel Rock to Sweeney Ridge to Pedro Point.   Are you ready for some action?  SIGN UP TODAY!  Who can participate? Adults, kids, families, seniors, students, groups, teams, businesses, volunteers, anyone!"   Read more.

Note photograph:  Students picking up trash from a Pacifica Patch, archive, but does not connect to an article.  The litter sign is from Amalyce, "Going Green", and has no reality for this city.
