For what it's worth, here's the body of the email that I sent -
File No. 120619
Land Use, etc. Committee Hearing November 19, 2012, Agenda No. 5
Please vote no on Supervisor Olague's resolution to start over on the Environmental Review Process regarding the Sharp Park Golf Course. The whole effort to close Sharp Park, which at least produces revenues to offset its costs - and turn it into a frog-and-snake preserve, which will produce no revenues, is a waste of time and money. Local governments, including SF, can't afford to cater to small fringe groups on the right or left, including environmental groups.
Those of us who support the Sharp Park Golf Course like to refer to Wild Equity, the small group that is the driving force behind shutting down Sharp Park, as "Frog Qaeda."
This is nothing but a hail-Mary pass to overturn several years of work, by someone who was totally unsuited to be on the Board of Supervisors and doesn't represent the views of her constituents, as evidenced by her being voted out of office.
A few minutes after I sent the email, I got the following response from Scott Wiener
FROM: Scott.Wiener@sfgov.org
TO: Steve Sinai

I don't support the resolution.
Scott Wiener
Supervisor, District 8
