Someone has too much time on their hands.
Wonder what it cost for someone to copy all of these checks?
Money well spent. Thanks Danny.

That can't be everything.
No excess eraf, no pension checks, no legal fees.

Now the cities books are as transparent as stegniks stealth campaign for city council.

Prediction is he can beat Mary Ann but not Karen

1043, "he can beat Mary Ann" (your comment, lol).
Yeah, well that might be the case because with term limits, Mary Ann is being termed-out (I think).

Ya, these ever present guys with their stealth campaigns. All so un-stealthy. Anyhow, defeating Nihart is a twofer. Ervin without Nihart is just a smart, classy woman. Make it so.

Yes Kathy, Mary Ann terms out.
Liberals don't read the paper.

Stegnik on front page of Pacifica Tribune, Riptide and Fix Pacifica in same day can't be a coincidence.

He's gunning for Ervin or Nihart's seat. Ervin hasn't confirmed she even wants another term, looks miserable at the dais but Nihart is still able and running.

Stegnik not a friend of Realtors or Chamber, he seems to enjoy torturing them.

Great, this circus needs some new blood.

1251, "new blood"? City Council doesn't need another NIMBY (Dan Stegink, aka.pacifica.city) to dazzle the public with a bunch of sensational, stink stories, and screwy statistics.

And this City sure doesn't need another Councilmember joining votes with John Keener and Sue Digre to become the too often anti-reason, anti-progress, obstructionist majority.
Haven't we seen enough of this in the past, affecting the sorry infrastructure of our City in the present?

BTW, Dan what's the point of posting City disbursements for 2015?

714, don't you think they kept track of the checks as they wrote them?

I think in a campaign Stegnik beats Ervin but Mary Ann beats Stegnik.

Same thing for a street fight between them.

Mary Ann will be scratched up but she'll come out the winner.
She won't be afraid to fight a little dirty.

Dan sent me the link well over a week ago. I just happened to finally get around to posting it last night. No coincidence.

Mary Ann is not termed out. She's checked this with the city attorney. So much for term limits.

People are afraid of Stegnik because they think he'll do exactly what he says he'll do.

He's stated that the City should cut spending across all departments and pay off it's debt. Staff gets very worried when they start hearing things like that.

What he doesn't realize is that Chamber would actually love him if he did that.

I'll haven't been home to read his announcement in the Trib, what is Stegnik's position on the Quarry?

Thinking 302 is right. Term limit ordinance and Nihart shared a ballot so the ordinance would not effect that Nihart term. Ditto for anyone else on that ballot. Seems to me this was previously hashed out here and someone found a perfectly applicable ruling by CA AG Kamala Harris. Stamp those enormous local foreheads with expiration dates like cans of tuna. Out!

I thought Lancelle was gonna throw her hat back in the ring???
Now that Pacifica is on life support, we need her to come back and finish the job she started and put this poor little city out of it's misery.

Nimby? Nobee? I have no idea. But he's right on this one. I could definitely support that platform. Hard to believe that anyone from "the land of give-aways" would have the courage to suggest belt-tightening. At a minimum, he sure has guts and fiscal sanity.

I didn't see Dan's name in the Tribune today. He told me a few months ago that people were asking him if he was going to run for Council, but that he wasn't interested.

Kathy and 11:07 I think that Mary Ann can run, because Term Limits only applied to those on council after term limits were passed. So that if someone was on council when term limits passed, they could do two terms after that. Like Sue Digre. I don't know the term limits ordinance, someone ought to check that out. So term limits passed in the middle of her first term, 2008-2012. Thus her first term under term limits is 2012-2016, and her second/last term could be 2016-2020. See ballot language, the word "prospectively" is key:

304, I'm starting to like this guy after your comment.
Bought the Pacifca Tribune just to read this article and Stegnik is on A1 and A6, but as a photographer only.

659 seems to have the only first hand conversation with the guy and he says not running.

I specifically remember Bernie, saying his attorney told him term limits couldn't apply to current or previous terms.

Weight..734pm (3/9), thanks. Then, MaryAnn may run again. Hope she does.
Non-NIMBY City Council majorities since 2010 have done a better job trying to move this poor City forward-- and to survive and potentially improve, this City needs that ongoing effort and momentum.

616, 304pm (3/9) financially cutting the City deeper into its already deep cuts to pay systemic debt is brainless, growth is needed.
1139am (3/9) Dan Stegink and you may be one and the same on your own front page.

Kathy

Did you see city hall hired the top notch PR firm to talk to the media about the storm damage.

Kathy Meeh said...

207 good, another smart move from this City team!

Hopefully hiring a "top notch PR firm" focusing on our crumbling coastside will help the City get lots of money from the State and Federal government, which is needed to fix our ocean and rain related storm damage now and in the future.

City Hall must be paying their bills with Monopoly Money once again.
