Yeah, but let's not talk "we can do
nothing", guised as "managed retreat"
"Join experts to examine and ask questions about the realities of sea level rise in Pacifica at a free forum sponsored by Pacifica’s Environmental Family and the Pacifica Climate Committee on Thursday, March 24 at the Community Center at 6:30 pm.

.... Hilary Papendick, Climate Resilience Specialist with the San Mateo County Office of Sustainability, will guide participants through the realities of sea level rise.  The facts of Pacifica geology will be presented by US Geologic Survey coastal geologist Patrick Barnard. Barnard and Bob Battalio, coastal engineer at Environmental Science Associates, will introduce attendees to models of sea level rise created for Point Blue’s Our Coast Our Future and the California Coastal Sediment Management Plan.

.... ... Joshua Cosgrove, NCCWD board member with wastewater system experience, will talk about what needs to be done in the near future to keep Pacifica sustainable."   Read more.
