The city’s top official is also provided with a $350 monthly vehicle allowance in addition to medical benefits and participation in a retirement plan. In addition to the proposed $24,000 raise, the package calls for consideration for additional raises “to be effective at the beginning of the upcoming fiscal year,” according to staff reports.

Half Moon Bay has revenue producing projects. Pacifica is a tax and spend city.

Oh and Half Moon Bay has a main street!
Half Moon Bay also has a beachfront Ritz Carlton that practically prints money for the city. The Pacifica NIMBY's talk and talk about how our environment is our economy and then they wink and nod to each other knowing full well that they are dedicated to preventing any such thing. They know that keeping Pacifica on the brink of bankruptcy is the best way to keep outsiders away and thus protect their "I Got Mine" lifestyles.
These selfish faux-enviros have lined up completely behind this poverty strategy and don't care who it hurts as long as "they've got theirs".
Wake Up Pacifica.
