"The San Mateo County Transportation Authority (TA) is in the process of updating its five-year strategic plan and is holding public meetings to gather feedback on the policy document.  The TA is the agency responsible for administering Measure A, the ½ cent sales tax initiative that is devoted to transportation and infrastructure improvement projects in San Mateo County.

Through the adoption of its Strategic Plan, the TA will outline the vision, goals, and implementation procedures for Measure A funds over the next five years. The Strategic Plan development process offers the TA and the community a chance to reflect on the current state of Measure A funding and project delivery while preparing for the future transportation needs in San Mateo County. A draft copy of the document will be available online at www.smcta.com/strategicplan on Friday.

San Mateo County residents are invited to weigh in on the Strategic Plan at the following meetings:  Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014 7 p.m. - 8 p.m., Pacifica Community Center, Card Room, 540 Crespi Drive, Pacifica, CA 94044.

Following these public meetings, staff will revise the Strategic Plan based on the feedback it has received. A final version of the plan will be considered for approval at the TA Board of Directors meeting on December 4."
