Let the Fall 2014 vote begin !

Here, now got a pen?
San Jose Mercury News/California/Josh Richman, 10/6/14.  "November's election begins today."

....  "Vote-by-mail ballots for November's general election are now on their way to mailboxes across the state, so the next few weeks are crucial to many campaigns. Several Bay Area registrars agree that of the 50 to 60 percent of registered voters projected to cast ballots, up to three quarters probably will do so by mail before Election Day, Nov. 4.

....  The last day to register to vote in this election is Monday, Oct. 20 (except for new citizens sworn in after that date; they can register right up until Election Day). Register online at registertovote.ca.gov. The last day to request a vote-by-mail ballot is Tuesday, Oct. 28.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 4. County registrars must receive all vote-by-mail ballots by the time the polls close."   Read article.
