No shame to be beaten by Sandpoint, ID as most beautiful or Lafayette, LA for the best food. Not at all. Pacificans worked hard and so did the folks in those other towns. Let's enjoy the moment and kudos to all who got involved. Great idea and a real mood lifter!
Sandpoint, ID. 60 miles south of the Canadian boarder, 78 miles from the Spokane International Airport. 6,000 residents, north shore of Lake Pend Oreille. They have an infrastructure for Winter and Summer outdoor activities.
Absolutely gorgeous place any time of year but not fancy schmancy at all.
