Think there has been a lot of rain this year?


Nope, we're following a normal pattern.

April showers are helping bring most of the Bay Area to normal or above rainfall totals for the season. "Everyone's near normal for this time of year," said Steve Anderson of the National Weather Service. Points north of San Francisco, however, have below-normal rainfall totals, he said. The rain, which began this afternoon, is expected to taper off Monday and sunshine is expected later in the week. The California Highway Patrol reported about a 50 percent more crashes today than it would see during a dry Easter. A lot of people are not slowing down," said CHP Officer Scott Cakebread.
