Celebrating our peace of history,
"Ghostorama", a ghost story
"Long before Spanish explorer Captain Gaspar de PortolĆ” led his expedition over Pacifica’s Sweeney Ridge in 1769 and discovered the San Francisco Bay, the Ohlone people lived peacefully here for thousands of years. This Saturday night, one of our earliest coastal inhabitants will join other ghosts of Pacifica’s past at the Pacifica Historical Society’s first annual “Halloween Ghostorama. The party takes place on Halloween night at the Pacifica Coastside Museum (Little Brown Church Building).

....  Included among the other spirit hosts are: Sam Mazza, Rev. Herschel Harkins, Bertha Johnson Anderson, employees of Chateau Lafayette, Dr. Galen Hickok, members of the Mori family and members of the Sanchez family.  ....  Since 2002, the castle has served as the headquarters of the Sam Mazza Charitable Foundation. ....  Members of the Mori family will be at the party. ... The Mori family turned their ranch house into a roadhouse and it was the Mori family that gave California, Pacifica Jack cheese.

....  Members of the Sanchez family will discuss the stories behind and within the adobe residence built by Commandante Don Francisco Sanchez, Alcade (mayor) of San Francisco, in 1842. Located on Linda Mar Blvd., the Sanchez Adobe is the oldest building in San Mateo County.
