Thank you Mike for keeping us informed about what's going on.
It is now the hwy 1 modernization. Love it, but after reading all the letters to the ediotr against the widening I think the people will know your 99% is bogus.
908, then again the letters to the editor you "love" are from your own anti-highway updating or modernization campaign? No reflection, no analysis, no real alternative solutions, rejection of multiple professional CalTrans studies, including the FEIR. Rejection of our highway safety, and the cost of these reports we paid for. So isn't your anonymous comment also "bogus"?
I will be attending. Thank you, Mike O'Neill.
Yeah I love those letters in the paper today. The same old arguments against widening. "time traffic lights", "it's the school kids fault", "there is no traffic".
"...but after reading all the letters to the ediotr against the widening I think the people will know your 99% is bogus."
Three anti-widening letters out of a population of about 38,000? Yeah, that's a real groundswell of opposition.
Just as 3 letters in support of the widening does not = 99%.
Let me get this straight. 14 people showed up at an anti-widening rally. That's all they can muster out of 18,000 commuters? That's actually more like 1/10 of one percent .001%
This argument is so Pacifica. My totally made up numbers beat your totally made up numbers. Well, we got ads and letter! Nah na na na na nah, we got law suits! Hey, how about a Survivor-style contest? Naked and Afraid? Ewww. How about Clothed and Prone to Hilarious Exaggeration?
Yes, three letter this time, four letters the time before. I bet the 99% of the people who are in favor of widening could stand to lose 30 pounds. Park your car at the quarry and bike 3 miles from Fairway to your home.
There is no correlation between supporting a widened highway and having a widened waistline. 99% say so.
The main concern is that firetrucks, ambulances and police cars regularly have to travel the wrong way up highway one to avoid traffic. This is not safe for anyone and if they are delayed it could be life or death. I choose to believe our firemen over Pete Loeb and the rest.
I think it's the uniform.
