Police catch burglar with assistance of neighbor's phone call


San Mateo County Times/Erin Ivie, 3/17/14.  "Pacifica police catch man in act of burglarizing home." 

"PACIFICA -- A Pacifica man was arrested Friday after being swarmed by police officers during a reported home burglary.  Kenneth Spoonhunter, 27, was booked on burglary charges after officers caught him burglarizing a home on Pacific Avenue, Capt. Joseph Spanheimer said. Police arrived at the home at 3:53 p.m. after a neighbor reported seeing him climbing a ladder to reach a balcony door.

Officers surrounded the home and arrested Spoonhunter as he walked out of the home with various stolen property, Spanheimer said. He was booked into jail on charges of residential burglary, possession of a controlled narcotic substance and two felony warrants."

He should probably remember never have a controled susbstance on you when your commiting another crime.

More crime news. Man shot to death in San Pedro Ave home this evening by police. Reported by the SJ Mercury News. PPD called in DC Swat. Six hour stand off with man described as armed and unstable ended in the man stabbing an officer and then being shot to death by SWAT.

Knowing nothing more about this man or the incident than what I read, I doubt the man or his family would see his death as something to include in your crime wave. Horrible for everyone involved.
