Happy holiday weekend with whatever activities you're planning, or not. The following events are city sponsored activities in Pacifica on Sunday, plus other bay area city celebrations this weekend. You may also want to advise of other community events of interest.

Pacifica Parks, Beaches and Recreation events.
5-mile race "Rocket Run 2010" . Check-in and late entries 8-8:45 am, cost is $20. Race starts at 9am sharp. Location beginning and end: Pacifica Community Center, 540 Crespi Drive. Registration application.
Celebration at Frontierland Park. 11am to 4pm, Yosemite Drive at Humboldt Court. Time of events agenda.
Activities include: live music, face painting, hair coloring, temporary tattoos, puppets and balloons, Rotary Club Dog Show, dance and martial arts demos, tasty food, cotton candy, craft booths. Games include: water-balloon toss, rope pull, parachute games, crazy relays, sack races, watermelon-eating contest.
