Lois, the Red Skelton U-tube is very nice, pro State and Federal Union by itself.
However, I question whether Red Skelton (an entertainer) if alive would appreciate having that presentation bought-up by "From ImgnNoLibs.." to be used as promotional propaganda, as well as reside in the same related U-tube neighborhood as a raft of twisted hate President Obama postings.
Red Shelton recognizes the proper roll of federal and state government, whereas those of you who claim to be "conservative" seem to be polarized "haters", anti-government, and may not understand either the roll of the US constitution, or recognize the natural progression of the country over more than 200 years.
I didn't read the postings. I looked for the video. I thought it was wonderful. You are the one who is hateful and looking for trouble all the time. I was looking to be thankful but as always I am sure you will get in the last word.

Because of the freedom we enjoy, you have the right to spew your hatred. If I were a part of Pacifica politics right now, I would not be listening to you at all.
Lois, if you were in control of Pacifica politics, "you" would have to listen to "you" either, and they don't.
However, in the Pete DeJarnatt running for city council campaign post card (2008), also endorsed by Pacificans for (NO) Sustainable Development on the postcard-- here's the quote from Jim Vreeland: "Pete's leadership and ability to balance needs for open space and appropriate economic development have been a strong asset to the council and the community." I think we can agree there is something cynical about that statement.
The Red Skelton presentation was delightful, just wish the heirs of his estate had not sold the visual rites to a far-right or any other political group. Have a happy holiday!
I think it's safe to say I have very different views than Lois on things like public prayer in schools and the role of God in government, but I didn't find what Lois sent in to be troubling or hateful at all.
I don't know how the rights to this could have been sold to "a far-right or any other political group."
Oh well, Steve, guess you didn't notice the "NoLib.." title page or the U-Tube related neighborhood postings. And, as I looked further the only clean copies of the Red Skelton speech (without group identity page) were audio.
Lois, those who have a voice in Pacifica are part of the managed by the city council and friends "control" here. You've been out-of-town too long, come back for a visit!
Kathy, I hadn't noticed the "NoLib..." title page until you pointed it out. It didn't bother me, and I don't know why something so trivial should bother you.
Steve, guess I'm just "picky" about what has become the extreme political division in this country, and also I'm sensitive to subtle propagandized messages (learned from Pacifica politics and Brent Plater experience).
Here's the view of Red Skelton's political life from Wikipedia, "Off air section": "Skelton was said to be bitter about CBS's cancellation for many years to follow. Ignoring the demographics and salary issues, he bitterly accused CBS of caving in to the anti-establishment, anti-war faction at the height of the Vietnam War, saying his conservative politics and traditional values caused CBS to turn against him. Skelton invited prominent Republicans, including Vice President Spiro T. Agnew and Senate Republican Leader Everett Dirksen to appear on his program." In today's world he might be a moderate Republican.
This looks like an official website of the Red Skelton biography The "Pledge of Allegiance" speech is audio there too.

I never said I wanted to be "in control" of Pacifica politics. Try to stay on point.
God bless America and Lord have mercy on Pacifica and on us all.
(Thanks Steve)

I'm actually laughing out loud.
