Update on the head on-auto crash, the Pacifican who died was Bruce Ross Bernor.
The accident was a tragedy. A man lost his life.
A woman made a terrible mistake from allegedly drinking too much alcohol, which blurred her judgement.
She, and both families (and friends) will suffer his loss.
For the rest of us, "for the grace of god go I".

Well said, Kathy. Truly, there but for the grace of God go any one of us. Mr. Bernor was the talented proprietor of the popular Bruce Ross Salon at Pedro Point.

127, thanks for your comment and information. And you're right, the expression is, "There but for the grace of God, go I."

My regards to the family of Mr.Bruce Ross Bernor of his sudden passing in the most unfortunate of ways. I don't want to hear one person using this mans tragic death as a reason to expand Highway One, telling people this would've been avoided had the Highway just have one more lane.

621 Surely you've been asked this many times before...could you possibly be any clumsier?

Kathy Meeh said...

621, maybe it would have. We don't know at this point.
And when we know, if a wider road would have given him time and space to get out of the way of a car coming from a wrong direction, we'll discuss that.

Gee Mark....
Looks like you are using this man's tragic death as an opportunity to speak against widening the Highway for safety improvements. Could you be any more crass than this?

Mark, no one mentioned widening the highway in connection with Bruce's death until you did. Great job!

Mark@621 Oh sure you do, sure you do. Soulless ghoul.

Mark, your sincerity seems a tad off 'tho not as much as your timing. Back under your rock you go!

That's a beautiful picture of Bruce. Thanks for posting it, as well as the link to the go-fund-me site.

I love all the Brave Web Warriors'' who don't even mention their real names on this site. It's like hide behind a curtain when calling someone a name. It seems that everyone is always discussing the Hwy One widening therefore in due respect to have people not talk about the issue in this matter is all I was coming from.

No one was talking about the Hwy 1 project in this thread until YOU did, Mark. Why didn't you follow your own advice?

I moved to Fassler Ave. last year to pursue employment in the SF. This morning I tried making a U-turn on a side street near Fassler and a lunatic driver almost hit me. People are just charging down the street and honk and yell if you get in their way, shut the hell up you don't own the road. I'm going to turn around on your street whenever I feel like it lol, try me seriously.

Please send you complaints to: Peter Loeb, Deirdre Martian and John Keener. They are the people in charge of Highway One "safety prevention".
