"Pacifica's Fourth of July annual town picnic grounds at Frontierland Park offers an expansive lawn for picnicking or joining the many games put on by the Parks, Beaches and Recreation Department. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., have your face painted or hair colored courtesy of PB&R. Food and crafts will be offered for sale, sponsored by local artists and non-profit organizations. The Chris Cobb Band and Rich Felix Blues Review will perform. "At the City of Pacifica's 41st Annual 4th of July Celebration at Frontierland Park, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., there is live music, food and craft vendors, face painting, and an earlier-in-the-morning 5-mile Rocket Run. Additionally, the event has a 1 p.m. opening ceremony which will present local dignitaries and color guard representatives, along with individuals brought to the stage by longtime Pacifican Clorinda Campagna to read the Declaration of Independence and portions of the Constitution. Additionally, one of Campagna's volunteers, Bill Mullen, will sing the National Anthem. Currently attending UC Berkeley, Mullen is a Terra Nova High School and Cabrillo Elementary graduate. He also sang at last year's event. Campagna makes it her business to bring in the volunteer readers and the singer.
