"Editor:  On Saturday, July 18, at 9:30 a.m., the Pacifica-Daly City Democrats are hosting a talk by San Francisco Supervisor Scott Wiener at the Club's monthly meeting at the Sharp Park Restaurant & Golf Course. I encourage you to enjoy a hearty breakfast and lively discussion with Supervisor Wiener on a variety of topics and concerns that San Francisco shares with us coastside dwellers: water, transportation, housing--the continued existence of the Sharp Park Golf Course itself!

Let's ask Supervisor Wiener if San Francisco's sanctuary city policy needs revising, about the U.S. Supreme Court's marriage equality decision and other topical issues. Supervisor Wiener's appearance is all the more relevant and fortuitous in light of his recent announcement that he is running for the State Senate (to replace the soon-to-be termed out Senator Mark Leno). Be among the first to ask Mr. Wiener about issues of statewide concern and their anticipated impact on Pacifica and San Mateo County.

Coffee, tea, continental and full breakfasts are available for purchase, but not mandatory for attendance. You need not be a member of the Club, nor even a Democrat. Please join us for what promises to be an exciting opportunity to discuss Bay Area and California politics with a rising Democratic star in a pleasant, intimate setting."    For more information, see Pacifica Daly City Democrats/Programs, and Facebook.
