More evening daylight is on the way.
Sunday, March 8th "spring forward"
from 2 a.m. to 3 p.m.
 The time now, official current time of the world/Pacifica, CA.

"Daylight Saving Time (DST) starts on Sun, Mar 08, 2015, 2:00 AM local standard time, clocks will turn forward 1 hour to 3:00 AM.   

DST ends on Sun, Nov 01, 2015, 2:00 AM local daylight time, clocks will turn backward 1 hour to 1:00 AM."

Does this mean the bars stay open for an extra hour Saturday night?

151, the bar closes at the same time (2 a.m.), but it will take you an extra hour to get home.

Then again, you may not even notice losing an hour. (See explanation in the first sentence of the two (2) sentence article).
