"The buildings, proposed by local developer Cameron Jeffs, of Gibraltar Capital, would mix retail space on the ground floor with upstairs residences. Four separate units would be built across two buildings, each with commercial space downstairs and a two-bedroom apartment on the second story.
Commissioners approved the project after a long discussion over intricate details of the plans, including plantings, architectural design and subdivision of the lot. The project needed an exemption to build on lots slightly smaller than standard under normal city rules."

Nice to have a downtown. "Gateway". There's a word you don't hear in Pacifica. Look at the hodge podge mess along Palmetto. Cleaning up a few blocks won't make it a downtown. And what is the city's idea of a gateway to Linda Mar and Park Pacifica? An enormous poop pit surrounded by a high wall. Brilliant.
