"PACIFICA -- A 12-year-old boy was hospitalized after he was hit by a car Tuesday night in Pacifica. Police say the boy was hit about 9:30 p.m. (4/22/14) in the 400 block of Monterey Road after he walked into the road from between parked cars. Responding officers found him lying in the roadway, and he was taken to the hospital to be treated for a leg injury.

The boy's injuries are not considered life threatening, Pacifica police Capt. Joe Spanheimer said. The driver of the vehicle was cooperative with investigators, who don't believe speed was a factor in the crash, Spanheimer said. The investigation is ongoing."
