The Daily Journal (San Mateo County), Michelle Durand, 1/8/14. "State probes spike in coastal radiation."
That's not a sunset, its radiation from Fukushima, Japan |
.... There is no public health risk at California beaches due to radioactivity related to events at Fukushima. The California Department of Public Health is not aware of any recent activity at Fukushima or any new data that would cause elevated radioactivity on California shores from the Fukushima incident,” the CDPH said in a prepared statement.
Word of the increase came Dec. 27 when an anonymous caller
contacted the state about his personal Geiger counter reading and the
California Office of Emergency Services in turn put out an email to
counties with the information, much as it does with other incidents like
sewage spills or train accidents. Peterson said the notice caught his
attention and he sent out staff to the same Pacifica beach location
where readings near the high tide mark were three to four times those in
the parking lot area." Read article.

It could also be some of the 48000 barrels of Toxic Waste are finally starting to leak.

When the fukushima debris hits our shores, and some have said it has, all that garbage will be radio active. Don't touch it. I would stay off the beaches. EPA concentrates on woodburning fire stoves because , well, not really sure why.
Haven't heard a peep out of the Plover, frog and snake lovers.
I guess they just prefer to bully 'podunk' Pacifica.
10:47 yes please by all means stay far away from the beach. In fact you should move to Kansas, and please take your conspiracy theorist fiends with you. Don't forget the foil hats either.
EPA and friends use gangster tactics , prowl neighborhoods waiting for a very cold person to light a fire in their fire place. Fines can be as much as $1000.00 if you are caught burning a fire in your home fireplace.
I ask the EPA, what have you been doing about the Fukushima Radiation Fallout that has reached our beaches? Still worried about my fire? Is the sky still falling?
EPA says, the seas are big enough to dilute the radiation to low levels. So low that it won't harm anyone. So, the skies are so small that my fire will gag a person in another county? Sure. Agenda 21. Well, you have your radiated agenda 21 and you can keep it. Live in it. You deserve it.
Reading the surfers blog and they believe that our beaches are ruined for their lifetime. Nice work in warning the people, EPA.
