Pacifica Tribune, Letters to the Editor, 11/26/13, "Thanks a lot" by Jim Wagner
- $53,668.80 gift to Pacifica, not even the value of a Pet Rock |
Invoice August 6, 2013 $11,379.16
Invoice September 17, 2013 $13,328.15
Invoice October 14, 2013 $6,278.01
Invoice November 15, 2013 $22,683.48
Total: $53,668.80
That's how much the city of Pacifica paid their attorney in legal fees to argue the lawsuit brought by Peter Loeb and Hal Bohner to stop the Highway 1 safety improvements. This is the one the judge dismissed because there was nothing the city did that could be sued over.
Thanks a lot guys."

Take Loeb back to court and demand reimbursement.
Do not allow this public nuisance to serve on any committees or commissions. Boycott bars where he's "playing". He's an enemy of the people and should be made a pariah.
1222 You are the one who is an enemy of the people. Beware of anyone seeking to make a law-abiding citizen a pariah. It smells of bully.
Loeb is one of the people, exercising his rights under a constitution created by the people and for the people.
Yes 202, people have as much right as Loeb to protest. If boycotting bars where Loeb plays (Cheers?) that is their right protected by the constitution. It's also the citizens right to ask he be removed from any city of Pacifica committees.
1038 So looking forward to you popping up at a council meeting and making just that request. Cheers!
I wonder how much money has been spent by the city fulfilling the hundreds of Public Records Act requests made by Mr. Wagner and his co-joined twin over the years? I've been told they filed nearly 100 on searches of me alone. I'm sure the financial burden of fulfilling hundreds if not thousands of their little temper tantrum PRA requests is far greater than the sum Mr. Wagner uses above to create a scapegoat.
The Brownshirtanons have their egg laying mothership space alien out in the open now. Best of luck with all that finger pointing, blame slinging and scapegoating. It will turn around and bite you. I promise!
Well Jim, do you or your co-joined twin want to wager a guess?
Todd, "you're told" "you wonder"? Come back when "you know something".
We know Loeb has cost the city millions of dollars in lost revenue from various projects like the Quarry. And now he's fighting modernizing our highway.
Looks like you're trying to follow in your gods footsteps.
"It will turn around and bite you. I promise!" Todd Bray, 342.
Who are you threatening now, Todd?
Big thanks Jim Wagner for publishing the paid city cost of this frivolous lawsuit. Its our public money wasted on a premature lawsuit filing, and the appeal is probably next, ch ching.
753 makes several good points about those who have worked against the modernization of our highway, and our city. Time to stop, NIMBIES. What about the rest of us?
Todd is trying to make himself relevant. He's actually just a pain in the ass. And is he threatening to eat Jim and Mark!!
Jim, running scared, just give a guess. How many PRA request have you made over the years? A thousand? Two thousand? You must have some sort of idea how many PRA requests you've made. I'm sure it's all cost the city many times more than you would think.
How many pra requests have you and your co-joined twin made over the years? And how much staff time has been wasted on those do you think?
You can hide behind Kathy all you want, even hide behind =you Rantanon conpadres, but it's a real qualifying number. How many PRA requests have you made since say 2005?
Ok I give up Todd, how many?
Oh...was that rhetorical?
I thought you were really big on citizens rights? Doesn't Jim have as much of a right to file PRA's as you have to muck up the system?
Todd, again please explain your threat to Jim and Mark, and/or to the city: "It will turn around and bite you. I promise!"
And of course any requests for printed city information are paid by individuals, whereas frivolous lawsuits against the city are paid by "we the people". This time, compare $0 cost citizen request filings (or 25 cents per page citizen cost) vs $53,668.80 city lawsuit cost. (That is not to say filing frivolous or valid lawsuits are not expensive and time consuming to individuals).
Similar to you I prefer talking to people with names, but this article and research are a public service "eye opener" (an important contribution from Jim Wagner).
Wish you and your friends would stop working against development needed in this city. The resulting revenue/service imbalance failure has interfered with and caused less productive city outcomes. Example, you don't like the highway widening project, but it is the traffic solution choice this city can afford.
So cowardice is your choice. Got it Jim. Point a finger at others but when the same set of rules are applied to you, you run and hide behind ... Kathy? Dude, man the hell up.
"It will turn around and bite you. I promise!" Todd Bray, 342.
Todd Bray, you sound remarkably like John Curtis.
Are you his clone? Is he still relevant? Are you?
Bray needs a cat. He's not getting enough attention.
I have a Mountain Lion rug I could donate.
He needs a cup of warm milk!
Jim, you and your co-joined twin have been harassing city hall for years with PRA requests causing mass disruption to an already overworked understaffed organization for nothing more than sport. In other words you've been using the PRA request process to be publicly invisible bullies. Why?
Are you that angry, still, after 8 years that you were not reappointed to the planning commission that you want to make "them all pay"? Is this daily, often multiple PRA requests nothing more than a vendetta against city staff?
Your pranking has a real dollar cost for staff time wasted fulfilling your petty, mostly redundant requests. Your little game has cost the city a huge amount of staff hours.
Why are you so scared to reveal the amount of PRA requests you and that co-joined twin of yours have made? Afraid the truth will get out? That you are a petty coward hiding behind a public process? The same overall public process you so venomously disdain?
Well you don't fool me. I've seen the PRA's and dude, you need a copy writer and spell checker.
Toddy, did you do a PRA request for those infamous PRA's?
How ironic. A PRA request for thousands, if not millions, of PRA's. Thousands of copies at 25 cents each. A fortune! Thanks for keeping the cities economy ticking.
Todd's childish outbursts are violating at least two (and some would argue all three) of the terms of service that are supposed to result in comments being removed. Just sayin'.
This thread is about Loeb. I believe Jim is out of town Todd. He works and has a family Todd. Not that much time to fixate on minutia
ok, the cat is not working. maybe a pocket poodle??
I assume you'll print Bill Heilman's letter to the editor in this week's Tribune, in response to Jim Wagner's letter. http://www.mercurynews.com/pacifica/ci_24648452/letters-editor
haha a blog that started with free speech that promised not to delete posts, deletes post.
I will never understand why this blog sticks up and enables Bray?
By all means put Hellman's letter up here. We could all use a good laugh. His ridiculous position is that we should drop our pants before Loeb costs the city more money.
I agree with a previous poster, go after Loeb for court costs, remove him from any committees like the Fog Fest, and boycott any establishments that book his band to play.
The Fog Fest is a private non-profit corporation. You can't remove anybody from it.
The Fog Fest is a partnership with the City. The City of Pacifica authorizes, controls, monitors, regulates and enforces everything from parking areas to street closures to start and stop times and size. The city of Pacifica as well as citizens have every right to ask that a un-desirable person who repeatedly sues the city, be removed from the committee.
The city and citizens have every right to ask for anything they want, But if they ask for pigs to fly and expect that to happen, they're fools.
The Fog Fest is not a "committee" of the city, it's a private non-profit corporation. Only the board of directors can appoint or remove anybody on the board.
The Fog Fest is really not a partnership with the City but a non-profit which pays the City for police and fire time during the festival. I do not agree with the lawsuit filled by Peter Loeb but he has done a great job working with the Fog Fest group. Can't we just agree to disagree on certain things instead of negating Peter's positive City contributions.
Bray's twisted logic:
requests for PRA is the equivalent of vindictively suing the city and it's citizens.
Chris with all respect, Peter Loeb has not done the greatest job for the Fog Fest IMO. There are plenty of good people that would take his place. This guy has been a nuisance and a serious drain on the city for too many years now. He's fought to hold us back at every turn. This goes far beyond just disagreeing.
