Reminder: City council budget meeting tonight, Wednesday, May 1, 2013
Attend in person, 2212 Beach Boulevard, 2nd floor. Or, view on local channel 26, also live internet feed, pct26.com. The meeting begins at 6 p.m, or shortly there following. City council updates and archives are available on the City website.

Update, 5/2/13: City of Pacifica budget draft, Fiscal Year 2013-14. Thanks to Chris Fogel/Pacifia Index for advising. The budget draft is also found on the City website, currently front page under "City Focus".
The final FY 2013-14 budget study session is scheduled for May 8th (and May 22 if needed).
The City deserves credit for fully funding the non-government organizations (NGOs); and, for creating a 6% cash reserve, while working to achieve the 10% goal and more.
City General Manager Steve Rhodes indicates there are years into the future of structural backlog to be fixed in Pacifica. The city needs cash to do that NIMBIES, so get on board for economic development. This city belong to all of us, and a more balanced, economically driven city advantages all of us.

did anyone see a staff report posted or was it passed out at meeting, 5 minutes before they started talking?
The presentation materials went out yesterday afternoon and immediately went up on Pacifica Index.

Thank God for the uptick in sales tax and the TOT because after all the drama we sure haven't saved much on labor and the benefit costs are still climbing. Always skeptical of government accounting but this mess could definitely be worse. Think no lawsuits and no surprises from the state and maybe we'll squeak by another year.
Yes, maybe we'll squeak by for another year. Is this any way to run a town, paycheck to paycheck? That's what "po' folk" do, not like us upscale suburbanites who just spend,spend, spend.
