Portofino closed June 27 according to their Facebook page. They have opened a place in Fairmont Center called Mama Mia's Ristorante and Pizzeria 745 Hickey Blvd. Mentions free delivery. Nothing about remodel or reopen of old place so maybe someone else rolling the dice. Ciao!!
The Borolo peeps are telling customers that family members?? are opening a Seafood Restaurant and downstairs will be a Night Club. The General Mngr. from Lighthouse Hotel is keeping a tight lip until papers are signed. That may have already been done. Fingers crossed!!!!
We've seen this movie before and the ending never changes. Bet it was one of those really really good deals. Keep your fingers crossed for these brave souls and give it a try.
Best place for a stunning view in Rockaway Beach. Fresh local food, updated atmosphere and maybe the addition of better access from the outside could make this a winner. Wish the new business well.

I heard a rumor that the Barolo guys were going to open a new restaurant there, and maybe resurrect the Moonraker moniker.
