Based on an evaluation by
dog bite experts and a necropsy, Pacifica police on Monday concluded
only one pit bull was involved in fatal mauling of Darla Napora.
Police Capt. Dave Bertini, who was the third on scene that day and gave CPR to Darla Napora, said the department has ruled out every other possible theory, other than that the 2-year-old unneutered pit bull terrier named Gunner killed his owner.
But the finding does not explain why Gunner would suddenly turn on a woman who had cared for him since he was a puppy.
"We're still waiting for the necropsy report" that may show whether the dog had a brain tumor or rabies, Bertini said. But if those abnormalities are not found, then Bertini said, "We may never know."
Greg Napora told this newspaper on Friday that he planned to bury his wife of three years, a popular bartender in San Mateo, with Gunner.
A message left at Greg Napora's home was not immediately returned.

So...the ladder has finally been vindicated!
i think its disgraceful he is going to burry his dead wife with the murderer- and i am shocked he went and picked up the other dog tazi- what the hell is he thinking- this was NOT a freak accident- i own a pit bull, they are sketchy dogs, i know i should get rid of my pit. we were walking with our 8 and 9 year old and saw donna and gunner walking towards us. the dog was so damn big and scary that my husband pulled the kids from its path- darla turned to us and said, dont worry, she is very friendly, she NEVER SAW IT COMING
OMG..PLEASE LET THAT BE JUST A RUMOR!!!!!HOW COULD ANYONE EVER BURY AN ANIMAL WITH A LOVED ONE TY\HAT IT KILLED...THAT IS SIMPLY MORBID!!!!!!I COULD ONLY IMAGINE HOW THAT WOULD DEVASTATE HIS WIFES FAMILY.THERE HAS ALREADY BEEN ENOUGH TRAGEDY.
Relax and uncap. This seems to be what the family wants and it's certainly their place to choose. People are buried or interred with all manner of cherished objects and this has happened throughout human history. Not your way or mine, perhaps, but this decision is not the tragedy.
Look at this guy's facebook....looks like nappy. a picture of him and his dog....I don't believe this guy.
