Uh, thanks for leaving? If you're heart is no longer in it, leaving is the right thing to do.

Hey I have this idea, install lights on Rockaway Beach, like they have at the football field, to illumunate the waves for night surfing! We could get surfers here 24 hours.

A proclamation for Loeb?
What for?
Most frivolous lawsuits?
Wrecking the quarry redevelopment benefit?
Feeding ferrel cats?

Is this Council really going to use public time and space to give some kind of award to Peter Loeb? This has to be a joke. Tod if you're reading please come out of retirement just for this one night. What an outrage.

750, 825 the Special presentation and proclamation although not specifically noted on the Agenda are probably about Fog Fest.

Of course one could speculate that what the Fog Fest community organizations gain in net revenue may be about what it cost the city to defend against the PH1A anti-Highway 1 widening lawsuit (Peter Loeb named plaintiff). Fortunately that lawsuit failed.

With all his good deeds, along with many others, in working to keep Fog Fest going-- as you say, he has worked against a productive city economy (including when Mayor (1983 (?), the quarry structural housing component). He as repeated referred to this city as "rural", which it is not. And that begs the question: is he another NIMBY who works to disincorporate (dissolve) this city? They say, "so that we may live in our neighborhoods". Their vision: coastal towns such as Moss Beach, El Granada, Bolinas. No thanks!

Kathy

Loeb is the lead in the 2nd lawsuit, the one still pending in the courts.

The first Loeb lawsuit was dismissed.

Gas prices down=check
food prices up=check
taxes up=check
recology up=check

So has city council ever met a Recology rate increase they will deny. Nope. Its a gravy train for them.

1231, thanks for the clarification that Peter Loeb was the named shell plaintiff on both PH1A and PSC "Group" (Langille) lawsuits. (The Pacifica Patch article, 9/9/13, may be of interest to some bloggers).

Was the PH1A lawsuit dismissal something other than "frivolous lawsuit thrown out of court", hence failed?

The judge said they filed it way too soon. They should have waited for the city council to take a formal vote then sue.

Anonymous said...

Oh goody. I figure they'll get another bite of the apple if the new council votes to proceed--and that's a big if.

227, probably a strategy. Name of the NIMBY game is delay, run out the funding clock. No money, no project. Result in this city? You're looking at it.

God bless them, every one! Fa la la la la.

So I hear that something went down in Pacifica.

In other unreported news.

I hear two of the riptides biggest windbags are pissed off because Sonora Shores promised them some $ and reneged on the deal.

I also hear another kind of green has been passed around by one of the Riptides.

Hey if it wasn't for Riptide we would have no moral compass. I'm sure whatever you heard about lack of payoff has been fabricated by a "Fixie".

We know when you post annon, Ian.

801, "unreported news" Anonymous 703 has been accurate with his insider comments, so I allowed this one. And maybe he will come back with more disclosure.

801, as for Rippers taking the high ground-- the just past city council campaign, other campaigns affecting this city, and ongoing wild anti-progress sentiments posted here are proof your comments are false, or "fabricated" (your word).

Asserting Riptide has "moral compass" is laughable. Riptide blog is littered with anti-golf course, anti-development, anti-highway (widening), anti-city and region improvement; and even pro-city disincorporation. Dissolve the City "so we can all live in our neighbors" (just like Moss Beach)-- imagine that! Nothing good and positive is coming out of you Rippers, other than picking up trash. Why not?

I love it when people go on about how moral they are or how some one else isn't because of a different POV. Say no more.

Kathy Meeh said...

1157 no, say more. Riptide/NIMBY point of view (POV), aka: "morality" is killing this city. And compromising the integrity of the city (we all live in) is hardly relative, its wrong.

We also know when you post annon, Bray!

There ya go again, Ms. Meeh. Your POV on "things Pacifica" is no more relevant or right than that of any other Pacifican. To claim it's morally superior is absurd. It also shows how very on the fringe you are.

Anonymous said...

If you "fixies" REALLY want truth and workable solutions you should blow this hot dog stand and join the intelligent dialogue at RIPTIDE.
You people are all so lame and easy to rile up. It's really quite amusing.

Kathy Meeh said...

118, the state of the city is relevant. Remember this part of the conversation began with 801 who claimed "moral compass". However, I think we all understand that residents (NIMBIES) who are intent on ending this city through their self-evident, clear pattern of starving needed economic and functional development (including the highway widening) are "fringe".

Since you seem to support such idiotic destruction perpetuated on this city, that would include you. Mainstream people are less ideological, more pragmatic, and tend to embrace progress. That would include people who are interested in Pacifica getting fixed, like me. 242, run to Riptide where you belong. Next!

Oh good grief Kathy Meeh. Your 323 post makes me see you playing Whac-a-mole and wielding the rubber mallet while screaming next, next, next! LMAO. Awesome. I need an Apple-tini.

346, although you may be a little too enthusiastic about Whac-a-mole, I think you might have the right idea (lol).
