San Francsico Chronicle/Evan Sernoffsky, Greta Kaul, Peter Fimrite, 12/12/14. "Bay Area storm pounds region: rain, wind, outages pack punch."
Careful what you pray for |
The biggest storm to hit the drought-ravaged state in years inundated roads and highways all over the Bay Area, forcing some motorists to abandon cars in the face of the torrent.
Flooding was widespread as clogged storm drains overflowed and creeks and tributaries went over their banks. The North Bay got the brunt, but streets, lots and low-lying areas were inundated in Novato, Fremont, Pacifica and other places. Cars were submerged in the muddy rush of water in San Bruno and Daly City, where a lake formed on 88th and 89th streets next to Interstate 280." Read article.

Don't forget there is a drought. Save some of that water. Buckets, pails get all of it. Use it to boil potatoes, bath with it, water plants, bong water.
Okaay!
3.68 inches of rain Thursday at noon
2.71 inches of rain Friday at noon
My rain gauge came in at 5.11 inches for this storm.
Tom C (Clifford ?) 328, and 312, appreciate you keeping track of rainfall for our storms. Somehow I wasn't able to find a reliable source rainfall spreadsheet including date, and year-to-date. If anyone knows a good source for that information please advise.
Tom C= Tom Clifford.
I could also go by THC but since that is the active ingredient in Marijuana I though I would avoid guilt by association.
