No more 4th of July fireworks shows at Pillar Point Harbor

Anyway, fireworks scare me !

....   “We’ve decided to disband the fireworks effort,” Resch said. “I can’t imagine we would do it again after two years of non-support from the local business community. There were too many volunteer hours for no reward.”

....  The cancellation of the fireworks show due to a lack of funds is a situation not unique to Half Moon Bay. Small towns and big cities across the country have had to cancel their shows over the last few years in cost-cutting measures, from Glendale, Ariz., to Chicago, Ill.   Read article.
