I was in their office and was told parking fees implementation has been postponed until august 22. I was also told to call first before you go in on or after aug 22 because it could be postponed again.
Just saw in the South Lake Tahoe paper that they implemented paid parking at one of their beaches. Evidently, SLT contracted with a company to manage the parking policy. Tickets were handed out the first day of implementation and the writer was complaining that the paid parking lot had not been striped, no signs were posted, AND there was no kiosk at which to pay! Yet, the parking ranger was right on the job handing out tickets. PROGRESS ! You gotta just love it.

Welcome to South Lake Tahoe leave us all your money and leave broke.
Sounds like economic development Pacifica-style. Oh well, as long as they leave, it's all good, right?
South Lake Tahoe City Council even screwed up worse then Pacifica.
The City pit has sat empty for years.
